Few brides-to-be are experienced in orchestrating an event as large and significant as their wedding. The reality is that few couples have the level of time in their schedules required to successfully plan, manage, and execute such an event effectively. Unfortunately, however, many couples don't realize or acknowledge this until it is too late - when parts of their wedding dream have already disintegrated into disappointment.

The role of the professional wedding planner is to make your planning process and wedding day go smoothly and to offer the expertise which will result in a wedding day that will be spectacular and unforgettable. Wedding consultants have vast knowledge of the products, services, and vendors available in your area and can recommend those which are a perfect match for your vision and style, saving you endless research time and opening up a world of possibilities. Often they can suggest unique or hard to find services or products which are perfect for your wedding but which you would have been very unlikely to find on your own.

How much will a professional wedding consultant charge?
Wedding coordinators can charge 3 different ways and you will have to ask yours how they work out their prices:

  • by a percentage of the total cost of your wedding
  • by the hour or
  • a flat ”package” fee

At the WOW! Factor Weddings and Social Events, we provide custom weddings with a fee structure that offers the most economical option for the client. We never accept referral fees or commissions from wedding vendors and, if any are offered, they are passed on to the client as a discount. In most cases a professional wedding consultant will save you money because of their connections within the industry.

If my wedding and reception sites have coordinators on staff do I really need another coordinator?
There are many wedding and reception site staff members who have the title of wedding coordinator at their venue. Their role, however, is to coordinate only the limited food and beverage function of the specific venue you have selected for your wedding. Unlike a site coordinator, your independent professional bridal consultant is contracted to help you with each and every detail from gowns, etiquette, ordering invitations, budgeting, and matching the formality of the attire to the time of day the wedding will take place, to calling your vendors to make sure they are at the right place at the right time along with making sure the vendors you have hired are right on track. Your consultant will coordinate all aspects of your wedding day from the rehearsal to the timeline to the vendors.
